The German Football Association and Genius Sports deepen their collaboration.
In an effort to combat the dangers of match-fixing and betting-related misconduct, the German Football Association (DFB) has strengthened its integrity relationship with Genius Sports.
Since 2019, Genius Sports has supplied the DFB with their Bet Monitoring System, which uses predictive algorithms to analyse worldwide odds movements from over 7,500 games annually and instantly detect potentially suspicious betting activity.
The DFB will continue to keep an eye on and evaluate German football at every level. By identifying players who have participated in dubious matches and underlying trends of betting-related misconduct, it seeks to discover patterns more quickly and increase awareness of the risks to athletes, officials, and coaches.
The Genius Sports Intelligence system will provide the DFB with a centralised database for all integrity reports, aiding investigations and allowing the partnership to be proactive in the analysis and identification of potential risk areas.
DFB Integrity Officer Eva Immerheiser stated: "We must collaborate with expert service providers to safeguard football competition integrity.
We see the chance to identify potential illegal trends more quickly and be able to take early action if we continue our collaboration with Genius and increase our intelligence with Clue. We are eager to collaborate with Genius at a higher level.
"We will provide rich intelligence, analysis, and visibility to help protect the most prestigious football associations in the world by expanding our cooperation with the DFB," stated Simon Martyn, Genius Sports' Director of Rights Enforcement & Integrity.
In the meantime, Genius Sports and the European League of Football (ELF) formally partnered in May for streaming and statistics.
